John 19:8-11

8 Therefore when Pilate heard this statement, he was even more afraid; 9 and he (A)entered the [a]Praetorium again and *said to Jesus, “Where are You from?” But (B)Jesus gave him no answer. 10 So Pilate *said to Him, “Are you not speaking to me? Do You not know that I have authority to release You, and I have authority to crucify You?” 11 Jesus answered him, “(C)You would have no authority [b]over Me at all, if it had not been given to you from above; for this reason (D)the one who handed Me over to you has the greater sin.”

But Jesus gave him no answer. 10 Pilate therefore saith unto him, Speakest thou not unto me? knowest thou not that I have [b]power to release thee, and have [c]power to crucify thee? 11 Jesus answered him, Thou wouldest have no [d]power against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath greater sin.
