⁹ and went again into the Praetorium, and said to Jesus, “Where are You from?” ^(A)But Jesus gave him no answer.

^33 (A)Then Pilate entered the ^[a]Praetorium again, called Jesus, and said to Him, “Are You the King of the Jews?”

²⁸ and not in any way terrified by your adversaries, which is to them a proof of perdition, but ^[a]to you of salvation, and that from God.

³² The place in the Scripture which he read was this:

²⁹ We know that God ^(A)spoke to ^(B)Moses; as for this fellow, ^(C)we do not know where He is from.”

³⁰ The man answered and said to them, ^(D)“Why, this is a marvelous thing, that you do not know where He is from; yet He has opened my eyes!

¹⁴ Jesus answered and said to them, “Even if I bear witness of Myself, My witness is true, for I know where I came from and where I am going; but ^(A)you do not know where I come from and where I am going.

³ And the chief priests accused Him of many things, but He ^(A)answered nothing. ^4 (B)Then Pilate asked Him again, saying, “Do You answer nothing? See how many things ^[a]they testify against You!” ^5 (C)But Jesus still answered nothing, so that Pilate marveled.

¹² And while He was being accused by the chief priests and elders, ^(A)He answered nothing.

¹³ Then Pilate said to Him, ^(B)“Do You not hear how many things they testify against You?” ¹⁴ But He answered him not one word, so that the governor marveled greatly.

⁶³ But ^(A)Jesus kept silent. And the high priest answered and said to Him, ^(B)“I put You under oath by the living God: Tell us if You are the Christ, the Son of God!”
