²⁹ Now a vessel full of sour wine was sitting there; and ^(A)they filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop, and put it to His mouth.

¹⁸ A clean person shall take ^(A)hyssop and dip it in the water, sprinkle it on the tent, on all the vessels, on the persons who were there, or on the one who touched a bone, the slain, the dead, or a grave.

³⁶ The soldiers also mocked Him, coming and offering Him ^(A)sour wine,

³⁶ Then ^(A)someone ran and filled a sponge full of sour wine, put it on a reed, and ^(B)offered it to Him to drink, saying, “Let Him alone; let us see if Elijah will come to take Him down.”

⁴⁸ Immediately one of them ran and took a sponge, ^(A)filled it with sour wine and put it on a reed, and offered it to Him to drink.

^22 (A)And you shall take a bunch of hyssop, dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and ^(B)strike the lintel and the two doorposts with the blood that is in the basin. And none of you shall go out of the door of his house until morning.

^34 (A)they gave Him ^[a]sour wine mingled with gall to drink. But when He had tasted it, He would not drink.

³³ Also he spoke of trees, from the cedar tree of Lebanon even to the hyssop that springs out of the wall; he spoke also of animals, of birds, of creeping things, and of fish.
