^6 (A)When Jesus^[a] said to them, “I am he,” they drew back and fell to the ground. ⁷ So he asked them again, ^(B)“Whom do you seek?” And they said, “Jesus of Nazareth.” ⁸ Jesus answered, “I told you that I am he. So, if you seek me, let these men go.” ^9 (C)This was to fulfill the word that he had spoken: “Of those whom you gave me I have lost not one.”

^12 (A)While I was with them, I kept them in your name, which you have given me. I have ^(B)guarded them, and ^(C)not one of them has been lost except ^(D)the son of destruction, ^(E)that the Scripture might be fulfilled.

^17 (A)For this reason the Father loves me, ^(B)because ^(C)I lay down my life that I may take it up again. ^18 (D)No one takes it from me, but ^(E)I lay it down ^(F)of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down, and ^(G)I have authority to take it up again. ^(H)This charge I have received from my Father.”

²⁸ even as the Son of Man came not to be served but ^(A)to serve, and ^(B)to give his life as a ransom for ^(C)many.”

Institution of the Lord's Supper

^26 (A)Now as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and ^(B)after blessing it broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, “Take, eat; ^(C)this is my body.” ²⁷ And he took a cup, and when he ^(D)had given thanks he gave it to them, saying, “Drink of it, all of you, ²⁸ for ^(E)this is my ^(F)blood of the^[a] covenant, which is poured out for ^(G)many ^(H)for the forgiveness of sins.
