³¹ Pilate said to them, ^(A)“Take him yourselves and judge him by your own law.” The Jews said to him, “It is not lawful for us to put anyone to death.”

¹⁵ They cried out, ^(A)“Away with him, away with him, crucify him!” Pilate said to them, “Shall I crucify your King?” The chief priests answered, “We have no king but Caesar.”

⁶ When the chief priests and the officers saw him, they cried out, “Crucify him, crucify him!” Pilate said to them, ^(A)“Take him yourselves and crucify him, for ^(B)I find no guilt in him.” ⁷ The Jews^[a] answered him, “We have a law, and ^(C)according to that law he ought to die because ^(D)he has made himself the Son of God.”

¹⁸ When the accusers stood up, they brought no charge in his case of such evils as I supposed. ¹⁹ Rather they ^(A)had certain points of dispute with him about their own religion and about ^(B)a certain Jesus, who was dead, but whom Paul asserted to be alive. ²⁰ Being at a loss how to investigate these questions, I ^(C)asked whether he wanted to go to Jerusalem and be tried there regarding them.

²⁶ thus says the Lord God: Remove the turban and take off the crown. Things shall not remain as they are. ^(A)Exalt that which is low, and bring low that which is exalted. ²⁷ A ruin, ruin, ruin I will make it. ^(B)This also shall not be, ^(C)until he comes, the one to whom judgment belongs, and I will give it to him.

⁴ For the children of Israel ^(A)shall dwell many days ^(B)without king or prince, ^(C)without sacrifice or ^(D)pillar, without ^(E)ephod or ^(F)household gods. ⁵ Afterward ^(G)the children of Israel shall return and ^(H)seek the Lord their God, and ^(I)David their king, ^(J)and they shall come in fear to the Lord and to his goodness in the ^(K)latter days.
