⁸ For I have given to them the words ^(A)which You have given Me; and they have received them, ^(B)and have known surely that I came forth from You; and they have believed that ^(C)You sent Me.

¹⁴ I have given them Your word; ^(A)and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, ^(B)just as I am not of the world.

¹⁵ No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, ^(A)for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you.

³⁰ Now we are sure that ^(A)You know all things, and have no need that anyone should question You. By this ^(B)we believe that You came forth from God.”

^27 (A)for the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me, and ^(B)have believed that I came forth from God.

Their Conversion

¹³ For this reason we also thank God ^(A)without ceasing, because when you ^(B)received the word of God which you heard from us, you welcomed it ^(C)not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which also effectively ^(D)works in you who believe.

¹⁴ And ^(A)we have seen and testify that ^(B)the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world.

^21 (A)that they all may be one, as ^(B)You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.

⁴² Jesus said to them, ^(A)“If God were your Father, you would love Me, for ^(B)I proceeded forth and came from God; ^(C)nor have I come of Myself, but He sent Me.

²⁵ O righteous Father! ^(A)The world has not known You, but ^(B)I have known You; and ^(C)these have known that You sent Me. ^26 (D)And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love ^(E)with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.”
