⁷ Now they know that everything you have given me is from you,

¹⁶ Then Jesus answered them, “My teaching is not mine but his who sent me.^{(A) 17} Anyone who resolves to do the will of God will know whether the teaching is from God or whether I am speaking on my own.^(B)

¹⁵ All that the Father has is mine. For this reason I said that he will take what is mine and declare it to you.^(A)

¹⁰ All mine are yours, and yours are mine, and I have been glorified in them.^(A)

⁷ If you know me, you will know^[a] my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.”

⁸ Philip said to him, “Lord, show us the Father, and we will be satisfied.” ⁹ Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you all this time, Philip, and you still do not know me? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?^{(A) 10} Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own, but the Father who dwells in me does his works.^(B)

²⁹ My Father, in regard to what he has given me, is greater than all,^[a] and no one can snatch them out of the Father’s hand.^{(A) 30} The Father and I are one.”

²⁸ So Jesus said, “When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will realize that I am he^[a] and that I do nothing on my own, but I speak these things as the Father instructed me.^(A)

⁴⁹ for I have not spoken on my own, but the Father who sent me has himself given me a commandment about what to say and what to speak. ⁵⁰ And I know that his commandment is eternal life. What I speak, therefore, I speak just as the Father has told me.”

²⁷ for the Father himself loves you because you have loved me and have believed that I came from God.^{[a](A) 28} I came from the Father and have come into the world; again, I am leaving the world and am going to the Father.”^(B)

²⁹ His disciples said, “Yes, now you are speaking plainly, not in any figure of speech! ³⁰ Now we know that you know all things and do not need to have anyone question you; by this we believe that you came from God.”^(C)

²⁰ On that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you.^(A)
