¹⁸ And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate^[a](A) the Lord’s glory,^(B) are being transformed into his image^(C) with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

²⁰ On that day^(A) you will realize that I am in my Father,^(B) and you are in me, and I am in you.^(C)

¹⁶ Out of his fullness^(A) we have all received grace^(B) in place of grace already given.

¹⁷ And these signs^(A) will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons;^(B) they will speak in new tongues;^{(C) 18} they will pick up snakes^(D) with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on^(E) sick people, and they will get well.”

¹⁹ After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven^(F) and he sat at the right hand of God.^{(G) 20} Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs^(H) that accompanied it.

²⁴ The one who keeps God’s commands^(A) lives in him,^(B) and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.^(C)

³ We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard,^(A) so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ.^(B)

¹⁵ Yet I have written you quite boldly on some points to remind you of them again, because of the grace God gave me^{(A) 16} to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles.^(B) He gave me the priestly duty of proclaiming the gospel of God,^(C) so that the Gentiles might become an offering^(D) acceptable to God, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

¹⁷ Therefore I glory in Christ Jesus^(E) in my service to God.^{(F) 18} I will not venture to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me in leading the Gentiles^(G) to obey God^(H) by what I have said and done— ¹⁹ by the power of signs and wonders,^(I) through the power of the Spirit of God.^(J) So from Jerusalem^(K) all the way around to Illyricum, I have fully proclaimed the gospel of Christ.^{(L) 20} It has always been my ambition to preach the gospel^(M) where Christ was not known, so that I would not be building on someone else’s foundation.^(N)

¹⁴ The Word became flesh^(A) and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory,^(B) the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace^(C) and truth.^(D)
