^17 (A)Sanctify^[a] them by Your truth. ^(B)Your word is truth.

¹⁶ Do you not know that ^(A)to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness? ¹⁷ But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart ^(B)that form of doctrine to which you were ^[a]delivered. ¹⁸ And ^(C)having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness.

^3 (A)how that by revelation ^(B)He made known to me the mystery (as I have briefly written already, ⁴ by which, when you read, you may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ), ⁵ which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to His holy apostles and prophets: ⁶ that the Gentiles ^(C)should be fellow heirs, of the same body, and partakers of His promise in Christ through the gospel,
