³² Behold, ^(A)the hour is coming, indeed it has come, when ^(B)you will be scattered, each to his own home, and ^(C)will leave me alone. ^(D)Yet I am not alone, for the Father is with me.

The Shepherd Struck

²⁹ And ^(A)he who sent me is with me. ^(B)He has not left me alone, for ^(C)I always do the things that are pleasing to him.”

³¹ Then Jesus said to them, “You will all fall away because of me this night. For it is written, ‘I will ^(A)strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’

¹⁶ Yet even if I do judge, ^(A)my judgment is true, for ^(B)it is not I alone who judge, but I and the Father^[a] who sent me.

²⁷ And Jesus said to them, “You will all fall away, for it is written, ‘I will ^(A)strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered.’

⁵⁶ But ^(A)all this has taken place that the Scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled.” ^(B)Then all the disciples left him and fled.

¹⁶ At my first defense no one came to stand by me, but all deserted me. ^(A)May it not be charged against them! ¹⁷ But ^(B)the Lord stood by me and ^(C)strengthened me, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and ^(D)all the Gentiles might hear it. So ^(E)I was rescued ^(F)from the lion's mouth.
