²⁶ On that day you will ask in my name. I do not say to you that I will ask the Father on your behalf,

³⁴ Who is to condemn? It is Christ^[a] who died, or rather, who was raised, who is also at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us.^(A)

²⁴ Father, I desire that those also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory, which you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world.^(A)

¹⁹ And for their sakes I sanctify myself, so that they also may be sanctified in truth.

⁹ I am asking on their behalf; I am not asking on behalf of the world but on behalf of those whom you gave me, because they are yours.^(A)

²³ On that day you will ask nothing of me.^[a] Very truly, I tell you, if you ask anything of the Father in my name, he will give it to you.^[b]

¹⁶ And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate,^[a] to be with you forever.^(A)
