⁹ “I have loved you even as the Father has loved me. Remain in my love.

²³ I am in them and you are in me. May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that you sent me and that you love them as much as you love me. ²⁴ Father, I want these whom you have given me to be with me where I am. Then they can see all the glory you gave me because you loved me even before the world began!

²⁶ I have revealed you to them, and I will continue to do so. Then your love for me will be in them, and I will be in them.”

Living as Children of God

²⁸ And now, dear children, remain in fellowship with Christ so that when he returns, you will be full of courage and not shrink back from him in shame.

⁵ and from Jesus Christ. He is the faithful witness to these things, the first to rise from the dead, and the ruler of all the kings of the world.

All glory to him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by shedding his blood for us.

¹³ There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.

¹¹ I have told you these things so that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your joy will overflow!

¹⁸ And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is.

²⁰ But you, dear friends, must build each other up in your most holy faith, pray in the power of the Holy Spirit,^[a]
