Love and Joy Perfected

⁹ “As the Father ^(A)loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love.

²³ I in them, and You in Me; ^(A)that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.

^24 (B)“Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; ^(C)for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.

^26 (A)And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love ^(B)with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.”

The Children of God

²⁸ And now, little children, abide in Him, that ^[a]when He appears, we may have ^(A)confidence and not be ashamed before Him at His coming.

⁵ and from Jesus Christ, ^(A)the faithful ^(B)witness, the ^(C)firstborn from the dead, and ^(D)the ruler over the kings of the earth.
