⁶ If anyone does not remain in Me, he is ^(A)thrown away like a branch and dries up; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.

¹⁸ A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. ^19 (A)Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. ²⁰ So then, you will ^[a]know them ^(B)by their fruits.

³³ “Either ^[a]assume the tree to be good as well as its fruit good, or ^[b]assume the tree to be bad as well as its fruit bad; for ^(A)the tree is known by its fruit.

¹⁰ And the ^(A)axe is already laid at the root of the trees; therefore, ^(B)every tree that does not bear good fruit is being cut down and thrown into the fire.
