The Coming Rejection

^26 (A)“But when the ^[a]Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, ^(B)He will testify of Me.

²⁶ But ^(A)the ^[a]Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will ^(B)send in My name, ^(C)He will teach you all things, and bring to your ^(D)remembrance all things that I said to you.

¹⁶ And I will pray the Father, and ^(A)He will give you another ^[a]Helper, that He may abide with you forever— ^17 (B)the Spirit of truth, ^(C)whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you ^(D)and will be in you.

¹³ However, when He, ^(A)the Spirit of truth, has come, ^(B)He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. ^14 (C)He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. ^15 (D)All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He ^[a]will take of Mine and declare it to you.

³² And ^(A)we are His witnesses to these things, and so also is the Holy Spirit ^(B)whom God has given to those who obey Him.”

^32 (A)This Jesus God has raised up, ^(B)of which we are all witnesses. ³³ Therefore ^(C)being exalted ^[a]to ^(D)the right hand of God, and ^(E)having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He ^(F)poured out this which you now see and hear.

⁸ So God, ^(A)who knows the heart, ^[a]acknowledged them by ^(B)giving them the Holy Spirit, just as He did to us,

The Certainty of God’s Witness

⁶ This is He who came ^(A)by water and blood—Jesus Christ; not only by water, but by water and blood. ^(B)And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth. ⁷ For there are three that bear witness ^[a]in heaven: the Father, ^(C)the Word, and the Holy Spirit; ^(D)and these three are one. ⁸ And there are three that bear witness on earth: ^(E)the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three agree as one.

⁹ If we receive ^(F)the witness of men, the witness of God is greater; ^(G)for this is the witness of ^[b]God which He has testified of His Son. ¹⁰ He who believes in the Son of God ^(H)has the witness in himself; he who does not believe God ^(I)has made Him a liar, because he has not believed the testimony that God has given of His Son.

The River of Life

22 And he showed me ^(A)a ^[a]pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb.
