²⁶ “When the Advocate^[a] comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who comes from the Father, he will testify on my behalf.^(A)

²⁶ But the Advocate,^[a] the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything and remind you of all that I have said to you.^(A)

¹⁶ And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate,^[a] to be with you forever.^{(A) 17} This is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him because he abides with you, and he will be^[b] in^[c] you.^(B)

¹³ When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own but will speak whatever he hears, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.^{(A) 14} He will glorify me because he will take what is mine and declare it to you. ¹⁵ All that the Father has is mine. For this reason I said that he will take what is mine and declare it to you.^(B)

³² And we are witnesses to these things, and so is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey him.”^(A)

Testimony concerning the Son of God

⁶ This is the one who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ, not with the water only but with the water and the blood. And the Spirit is the one that testifies, for the Spirit is the truth.^{(A) 7} There are three that testify:^{[a](B) 8} the Spirit and the water and the blood, and these three agree. ⁹ If we receive human testimony, the testimony of God is greater, for this is the testimony of God that he has testified to his Son.^{(C) 10} Those who believe in the Son of God have the testimony in their hearts. Those who do not believe in God^[b] have made him a liar by not believing in the testimony that God has given concerning his Son.^(D)

⁶ just as the testimony of^[a] Christ has been strengthened among you^(A)—

³² “This Jesus God raised up, and of that all of us are witnesses.^{(A) 33} Being therefore exalted at^[a] the right hand of God and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured out this that you see and hear.^(B)

The River of Life

22 Then the angel^[a] showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb^(A)
