²⁵ It was to fulfill the word that is written in their law, ‘They hated me without a cause.’^(A)

⁴⁴ Then he said to them, “These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you—that everything written about me in the law of Moses, the prophets, and the psalms must be fulfilled.”^(A)

⁷ Did I commit a sin by humbling myself so that you might be exalted, because I proclaimed God’s good news^[a] to you free of charge?^(A)

⁶ Then he said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water as a gift from the spring of the water of life.^(A)

²⁴ they are now justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,^(A)

¹⁹ Now we know that, whatever the law says, it speaks to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world may be held accountable to God.^(A)

³⁴ Jesus answered, “Is it not written in your law,^[a] ‘I said, you are gods’?^(A)
