⁴ And you know the way to the place where I am going.”^[a]

⁹ I am the gate. Whoever enters by me will be saved and will come in and go out and find pasture.

²⁸ I came from the Father and have come into the world; again, I am leaving the world and am going to the Father.”^(A)

² In my Father’s house there are many dwelling places. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?^[a]

³ Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands and that he had come from God and was going to God,^(A)

⁶⁸ Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom can we go? You have the words of eternal life. ⁶⁹ We have come to believe and know that you are the Holy One of God.”^[a](A)

⁴⁰ This is indeed the will of my Father, that all who see the Son and believe in him may have eternal life, and I will raise them up on the last day.”^(A)

³⁶ Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever disobeys the Son will not see life but must endure God’s wrath.^(A)
