¹⁹ Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me.^(A) Because I live, you also will live.^(B)

The Disciples’ Grief Will Turn to Joy

¹⁶ Jesus went on to say, “In a little while^(A) you will see me no more, and then after a little while you will see me.”^(B)

³³ Jesus said, “I am with you for only a short time,^(A) and then I am going to the one who sent me.^(B)

²⁵ Therefore he is able to save^(A) completely^[a] those who come to God^(B) through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.^(C)

⁵⁶ Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them.^{(A) 57} Just as the living Father sent me^(B) and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me. ⁵⁸ This is the bread that came down from heaven. Your ancestors ate manna and died, but whoever feeds on this bread will live forever.”^(C)

³ For you died,^(A) and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. ⁴ When Christ, who is your^[a] life,^(B) appears,^(C) then you also will appear with him in glory.^(D)

³⁴ Who then is the one who condemns?^(A) No one. Christ Jesus who died^(B)—more than that, who was raised to life^(C)—is at the right hand of God^(D) and is also interceding for us.^(E)

²² So with you: Now is your time of grief,^(A) but I will see you again^(B) and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy.^(C)

²⁵ Jesus said to her, “I am^(A) the resurrection and the life.^(B) The one who believes^(C) in me will live, even though they die;
