¹⁶ And I will pray the Father, and ^(A)He will give you another ^[a]Helper, that He may abide with you forever— ^17 (B)the Spirit of truth, ^(C)whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you ^(D)and will be in you.

^19 (A)Go ^[a]therefore and ^(B)make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

⁴ which had the ^(A)golden censer and ^(B)the ark of the covenant overlaid on all sides with gold, in which were ^(C)the golden pot that had the manna, ^(D)Aaron’s rod that budded, and ^(E)the tablets of the covenant;

²⁶ But ^(A)the ^[a]Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will ^(B)send in My name, ^(C)He will teach you all things, and bring to your ^(D)remembrance all things that I said to you.

³⁵ And the angel answered and said to her, ^(A)“The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called ^(B)the Son of God.

The History of Creation^(A)

1 In the ^(B)beginning ^(C)God created the heavens and the earth. ² The earth was ^(D)without form, and void; and darkness ^[a]was on the face of the deep. ^(E)And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.

^3 (F)Then God said, ^(G)“Let there be ^(H)light”; and there was light.

⁸ And when He has ^(A)come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: ^9 (B)of sin, because they do not believe in Me; ^10 (C)of righteousness, ^(D)because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; ^11 (E)of judgment, because ^(F)the ruler of this world is judged.

^30 (A)The God of our fathers raised up Jesus whom you murdered by ^(B)hanging on a tree. ^31 (C)Him God has exalted to His right hand to be ^(D)Prince and ^(E)Savior, ^(F)to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins. ³² And ^(G)we are His witnesses to these things, and so also is the Holy Spirit ^(H)whom God has given to those who obey Him.”

⁴ Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?”
