Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit

^15 (A)“If you love me, you will ^(B)keep my commandments.

^21 (A)Whoever has my commandments and ^(B)keeps them, he it is who loves me. And ^(C)he who loves me ^(D)will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and ^(E)manifest myself to him.”

⁵ but whoever ^(A)keeps his word, in him truly ^(B)the love of God is perfected. ^(C)By this we may know that we are in him: ⁶ whoever says he ^(D)abides in him ^(E)ought to walk in the same way in which he walked.

⁴ Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; ^(A)sin is lawlessness. ⁵ You know that ^(B)he appeared in order to ^(C)take away sins, and ^(D)in him there is no sin. ⁶ No one who abides in him keeps on sinning; ^(E)no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him. ⁷ Little children, ^(F)let no one deceive you. ^(G)Whoever practices righteousness is righteous, as he is righteous.

³ For ^(A)this is the love of God, that we ^(B)keep his commandments. And ^(C)his commandments are not burdensome.
