John 14:12-31
New American Standard Bible 1995
12 Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and (A)greater works than these he will do; because (B)I go to the Father. 13 (C)Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that (D)the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask Me anything (E)in My name, I will do it.
15 “(F)If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.
Role of the Spirit
16 I will ask the Father, and He will give you another [a](G)Helper, that He may be with you forever; 17 that is (H)the Spirit of truth, (I)whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you.
18 “I will not leave you as orphans; (J)I will come to you. 19 [b](K)After a little while (L)the world will no longer see Me, but you will see Me; (M)because I live, you will live also. 20 (N)In that day you will know that (O)I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. 21 (P)He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and (Q)he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will (R)disclose Myself to him.” 22 (S)Judas (not Iscariot) *said to Him, “Lord, what then has happened (T)that You are going to disclose Yourself to us and not to the world?” 23 Jesus answered and said to him, “(U)If anyone loves Me, he will (V)keep My word; and (W)My Father will love him, and We (X)will come to him and make Our abode with him. 24 He who does not love Me (Y)does not keep My words; and (Z)the word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father’s who sent Me.
25 “These things I have spoken to you while abiding with you. 26 But the (AA)Helper, the Holy Spirit, (AB)whom the Father will send in My name, (AC)He will teach you all things, and (AD)bring to your remembrance all that I said to you. 27 (AE)Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. (AF)Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful. 28 (AG)You heard that I said to you, ‘I go away, and (AH)I will come to you.’ If you loved Me, you would have rejoiced because (AI)I go to the Father, for (AJ)the Father is greater than I. 29 Now (AK)I have told you before it happens, so that when it happens, you may believe. 30 I will not speak much more with you, for (AL)the ruler of the world is coming, and he has nothing in Me; 31 but so that the world may know that I love the Father, [c]I do exactly as (AM)the Father commanded Me. Get up, (AN)let us go from here.

John 16:7-15
New American Standard Bible 1995
7 But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the [a](A)Helper will not come to you; but if I go, (B)I will send Him to you. 8 And He, when He comes, will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment; 9 concerning sin, (C)because they do not believe in Me; 10 and concerning (D)righteousness, because (E)I go to the Father and you no longer see Me; 11 (F)and concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world has been judged.
12 “I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. 13 But when He, (G)the Spirit of truth, comes, He will (H)guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. 14 He will (I)glorify Me, for He will take of Mine and will disclose it to you. 15 (J)All things that the Father has are Mine; therefore I said that He takes of Mine and will disclose it to you.
