John 14:12-24

¹²“Truly, truly, I say to you, ^(A)whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I ^(B)am going to the Father. ¹³^(C)Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that ^(D)the Father may be glorified in the Son. ¹⁴^(E)If you ask me^[a] anything in my name, I will do it.

Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit

¹⁵^(F)“If you love me, you will ^(G)keep my commandments. ¹⁶And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another ^(H)Helper,^[b] to be with you forever, ¹⁷even ^(I)the Spirit of truth, ^(J)whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and ^(K)will be^[c] in you.

¹⁸“I will not leave you as orphans; ^(L)I will come to you. ¹⁹^(M)Yet a little while and the world will see me no more, but ^(N)you will see me. ^(O)Because I live, you also will live. ²⁰^(P)In that day you will know that ^(Q)I am in my Father, and ^(R)you in me, and ^(S)I in you. ²¹^(T)Whoever has my commandments and ^(U)keeps them, he it is who loves me. And ^(V)he who loves me ^(W)will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and ^(X)manifest myself to him.” ²²^(Y)Judas (not Iscariot) said to him, “Lord, how is it ^(Z)that you will manifest yourself to us, and not to the world?” ²³Jesus answered him, ^(AA)“If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and ^(AB)we will come to him and ^(AC)make our home with him. ²⁴Whoever does not love me does not keep my words. And ^(AD)the word that you hear is not mine but the Father's who sent me.
