John 13:3-16
English Standard Version
3 Jesus, knowing (A)that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that (B)he had come from God and (C)was going back to God, 4 rose from supper. He laid aside his outer garments, and taking a towel, (D)tied it around his waist. 5 Then he (E)poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples' feet and to wipe them with the towel that was wrapped around him. 6 He came to Simon Peter, who said to him, “Lord, do you wash my feet?” 7 (F)Jesus answered him, “What I am doing (G)you do not understand now, but afterward you will understand.” 8 (H)Peter said to him, “You shall never wash my feet.” Jesus answered him, (I)“If I do not wash you, you have no share with me.” 9 Simon Peter said to him, “Lord, not my feet only but also my hands and my head!” 10 Jesus said to him, “The one who has bathed does not need to wash, (J)except for his feet,[a] but is completely clean. And (K)you[b] are clean, (L)but not every one of you.” 11 (M)For he knew who was to betray him; that was why he said, “Not all of you are clean.”
12 When he had washed their feet and (N)put on his outer garments and resumed his place, he said to them, (O)“Do you understand what I have done to you? 13 (P)You call me (Q)Teacher and Lord, and you are right, for so I am. 14 If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, (R)you also ought to wash one another's feet. 15 For I have given you an example, (S)that you also should do just as I have done to you. 16 Truly, truly, I say to you, (T)a servant[c] is not greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him.

Let the Children Come to Me
13 (A)Then children were brought to him that he might lay his hands on them and pray. The disciples (B)rebuked the people, 14 but Jesus said, (C)“Let the little children (D)come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” 15 And he laid his hands on them and went away.

26 (A)It shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great among you must be your servant,[a] 27 and whoever would be first among you must be your slave,[b] 28 even as the Son of Man came not to be served but (B)to serve, and (C)to give his life as a ransom for (D)many.”

7 “Why does this man speak like that? (A)He is blaspheming! (B)Who can forgive sins but God alone?” 8 And immediately Jesus, (C)perceiving in his spirit that they thus questioned within themselves, said to them, “Why do you question these things in your hearts? 9 Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Rise, take up your bed and walk’? 10 But that you may know that (D)the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”—he said to the paralytic— 11 “I say to you, rise, pick up your bed, and go home.”

3 Do nothing from (A)selfish ambition or (B)conceit, but in (C)humility count others more significant than yourselves. 4 Let each of you (D)look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. 5 (E)Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus,[a] 6 (F)who, though he was in (G)the form of God, did not count equality with God (H)a thing to be grasped,[b] 7 but (I)emptied himself, by taking the form of a (J)servant,[c] (K)being born in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself by (L)becoming obedient to the point of death, (M)even death on a cross. 9 (N)Therefore (O)God has (P)highly exalted him and bestowed on him (Q)the name that is above every name,
