³ Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands and that he had come from God and was going to God,^(A)

⁴² Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God, and now I am here. I did not come on my own, but he sent me.^(A)

³⁵ The Father loves the Son and has placed all things in his hands.^(A)

²⁷ All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.^(A)

² since you have given him authority over all people,^[a] to give eternal life to all whom you have given him.^(A)

¹⁸ And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.^(A)

² but in these last days he has spoken to us by a Son,^[a] whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom he also created the worlds.^(A)

²¹ far above all rule and authority and power and dominion and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the age to come.^{(A) 22} And he has put all things under his feet and has made him the head over all things for the church,^(B)

²⁷ For “God^[a] has put all things in subjection under his feet.” But when it says, “All things are put in subjection,” it is plain that this does not include the one who put all things in subjection under him.^(A)
