¹⁴ If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, ^(A)you also ought to wash one another's feet.

⁵ Likewise, you who are younger, be subject to the elders. ^(A)Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for ^(B)“God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”

³⁵ In all things ^(A)I have shown you that ^(B)by working hard in this way we must ^(C)help the weak and ^(D)remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed ^(E)to give than to receive.’”

Stewards of God's Grace

4 Since therefore ^(A)Christ suffered in the flesh,^{[a] (B)}arm yourselves with the same way of thinking, for ^(C)whoever has suffered in the flesh ^(D)has ceased from sin,

¹³ For you were called to freedom, brothers. ^(A)Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love ^(B)serve one another.

^26 (A)But not so with you. Rather, let ^(B)the greatest among you become as the youngest, and the leader as one who serves. ²⁷ For who is the greater, ^(C)one who reclines at table or one who serves? Is it not the one who reclines at table? But ^(D)I am among you as the one who serves.

⁸ Although ^(A)he was a son, ^(B)he learned obedience through what he suffered. ⁹ And ^(C)being made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey him,

^2 (A)complete my joy by being ^(B)of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. ³ Do nothing from ^(C)selfish ambition or ^(D)conceit, but in ^(E)humility count others more significant than yourselves. ⁴ Let each of you ^(F)look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. ^5 (G)Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus,^{[a] 6 (H)}who, though he was in ^(I)the form of God, did not count equality with God ^(J)a thing to be grasped,^{[b] 7} but ^(K)emptied himself, by taking the form of a ^(L)servant,^{[c] (M)}being born in the likeness of men. ⁸ And being found in human form, he humbled himself by ^(N)becoming obedient to the point of death, ^(O)even death on a cross.

Bear One Another's Burdens

6 Brothers,^{[a] (A)}if anyone is caught in any transgression, ^(B)you who are spiritual should restore him in ^(C)a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted. ^2 (D)Bear one another's burdens, and ^(E)so fulfill ^(F)the law of Christ.
