¹¹ For ^(A)He knew who would betray Him; therefore He said, “You are not all clean.”

²⁶ Jesus answered, “It is he to whom I shall give a piece of bread when I have dipped it.” And having dipped the bread, He gave it to ^(A)Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon.

^21 (A)When Jesus had said these things, ^(B)He was troubled in spirit, and testified and said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, ^(C)one of you will betray Me.”

Jesus Identifies His Betrayer^(A)

¹⁸ “I do not speak concerning all of you. I know whom I have chosen; but that the ^(B)Scripture may be fulfilled, ^(C)‘He who eats ^[a]bread with Me has lifted up his heel against Me.’

² And ^[a]supper being ended, ^(A)the devil having already put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, to betray Him,

²⁵ and had no need that anyone should testify of man, for ^(A)He knew what was in man.

⁶⁴ But ^(A)there are some of you who do not believe.” For ^(B)Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who would betray Him. ⁶⁵ And He said, “Therefore ^(C)I have said to you that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted to him by My Father.”

^66 (D)From that time many of His disciples went ^[a]back and walked with Him no more. ⁶⁷ Then Jesus said to the twelve, “Do you also want to go away?”

⁶⁸ But Simon Peter answered Him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have ^(E)the words of eternal life. ^69 (F)Also we have come to believe and know that You are the ^[b]Christ, the Son of the living God.”

⁷⁰ Jesus answered them, ^(G)“Did I not choose you, the twelve, ^(H)and one of you is a devil?” ⁷¹ He spoke of ^(I)Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon, for it was he who would ^(J)betray Him, being one of the twelve.

²⁴ The Son of Man indeed goes just ^(A)as it is written of Him, but ^(B)woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! ^(C)It would have been good for that man if he had not been born.”

²⁵ Then Judas, who was betraying Him, answered and said, “Rabbi, is it I?”

He said to him, “You have said it.”

¹² While I was with them ^[a]in the world, ^(A)I kept them in ^[b]Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and ^(B)none of them is ^[c]lost ^(C)except the son of ^[d]perdition, ^(D)that the Scripture might be fulfilled.
