The Triumphal Entry

12 On the next day, when (A)the large crowd that had come to (B)the feast heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, 13 they took the branches of the palm trees and went out to meet Him, and began shouting, “(C)Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord, indeed, the (D)King of Israel!” 14 Jesus, finding a young donkey, sat on it; as it is written: 15 (E)Do not fear, daughter of Zion; behold, your King is coming, seated on a donkeys colt.” 16 (F)These things His disciples did not understand at the first; but when Jesus (G)was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written of Him, and that they had done these things for Him.

12 (B)The next day a great multitude that had come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, 13 took branches of palm trees and went out to meet Him, and cried out:

“Hosanna!
(C)‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’
The King of Israel!”

14 (D)Then Jesus, when He had found a young donkey, sat on it; as it is written:

15 “Fear(E) not, daughter of Zion;
Behold, your King is coming,
Sitting on a donkey’s colt.”

16 (F)His disciples did not understand these things at first; (G)but when Jesus was glorified, (H)then they remembered that these things were written about Him and that they had done these things to Him.
