John 12
Wycliffe Bible
12 Therefore Jesus before six days of pask came to Bethany, where Lazarus had been dead [where Lazarus was dead], whom Jesus raised.
2 And they made to him a supper there, and Martha ministered to him; and Lazarus was one of the men that sat at the meat with him.
3 Therefore Mary took a pound of ointment of true nard precious [Therefore Mary took a pound of ointment spikenard, or true nard, precious], and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hairs; and the house was full-filled with the savour of the ointment.
4 Therefore Judas Iscariot, one of his disciples, that was to betray him, said,
5 Why is not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to poor men [and given to needy men]?
6 But he said this thing, not for it pertained to him of needy men, but for he was a thief, and had the purses, and bare those things that were sent.
7 Therefore Jesus said, Suffer ye her, that into the day of my burying she keep that;
8 for ye shall evermore have poor men with you, but ye shall not evermore have me.[a]
9 Therefore much people of the Jews knew, that Jesus was there; and they came, not only for Jesus, but to see Lazarus, whom he had raised from death [whom he raised from dead].
10 But the princes of priests thought [for] to slay Lazarus,
11 for many of the Jews went away for him [for many of the Jews for him went away], and believed in Jesus.
12 But on the morrow much people, that came together to the feast day, when they had heard, that Jesus came to Jerusalem [when they had heard, for Jesus cometh to Jerusalem],
13 took branches of palms, and came forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna, blessed is the king of Israel, that cometh in the name of the Lord.
14 And Jesus found a young ass, and sat on [upon] him, as it is written,
15 The daughter of Sion, do not thou dread; lo! thy king cometh, sitting on an ass's foal. [Daughter of Sion, do not thou dread; lo! thy king cometh, sitting on the colt of a she ass.]
16 His disciples knew not first these things, but when Jesus was glorified, then they had mind [then they recorded, or had mind], that these things were written of him, and these things they did to him.
17 Therefore the people bare witnessing, that was with him, when he called Lazarus from the grave, and raised him from death [from dead].
18 And therefore the people came, and met with him, for they heard that he had done this sign.
19 Therefore the Pharisees said to themselves, Ye see, that we profit nothing; lo! all the world hath gone after him [lo! all the world went after him].
20 And there were some heathen men, of them that had come up to worship in the feast day.
21 And these came to Philip, that was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and prayed him, and said, Sire, we will see Jesus [and prayed him, saying, Sire, we would see Jesus].
22 Philip cometh, and saith to Andrew; and again Andrew and Philip said to Jesus.
23 And Jesus answered to them, and said [saying], The hour cometh, that man's Son be clarified.
24 Truly, truly, I say to you, but a corn of wheat fall into the earth, and be dead, it dwelleth alone; but if it be dead, it bringeth [forth] much fruit.
25 He that loveth his life, shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world, keepeth it into everlasting life.
26 If any man serve me, follow he me; and where I am, there my minister shall be [there and my minister, or servant, shall be]. If any man serve me, my Father shall honour him [my Father shall worship him].
27 Now my soul is troubled, and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour; but therefore [but for that thing] I came into this hour;
28 Father, clarify thy name. And a voice came from heaven, and said [saying], And I have clarified, and again I shall clarify.
29 Therefore the people that stood, and heard, said, that thunder was made; other men said, an angel spake to him.
30 Jesus answered, and said, This voice came not for me, but for you.
31 Now is the doom of the world, now the prince of this world shall be cast out.
32 And if I shall be enhanced from the earth, I shall draw all things to myself.
33 And he said this thing [Soothly this thing he said], signifying by what death he was to die.
34 And the people answered to him, We have heard of the law, that Christ dwelleth without end [for Christ dwelleth into without end]; and how sayest thou, It behooveth man's Son to be areared? Who is this man's Son?
35 And then Jesus saith to them, Yet a little light is in you; walk ye, the while ye have light, that darkness catch you not [that darknesses catch not you]; he that wandereth in darknesses, knoweth not whither he goeth.
36 While ye have light, believe ye in the light, that ye be the children of light. Jesus spake these things, and went, and hid him(self) from them.
37 And when he had done so many miracles before them [Soothly when he had done so many signs, or miracles, before them], they believed not in him;
38 that the word of Esaias, the prophet, should be fulfilled, which he said, Lord, who hath believed to our hearing, and to whom is the arm of the Lord showed?
39 Therefore they might not believe, for again Esaias said,
40 He hath blinded their eyes, and hath made hard the heart of them [and he hath endured, or made hard, the heart of them], that they see not with eyes, and understand [not] with heart; and that they be converted, and I heal them.
41 Esaias said these things, when he saw the glory of him, and spake of him.
42 Nevertheless of the princes many believed in him, but for the Pharisees they acknowledged not, that they should not be put out of the synagogue;
43 for they loved the glory of men, more than the glory of God.
44 And Jesus cried, and said, He that believeth in me, believeth not in me, but in him that sent me.
45 He that seeth me, seeth him that sent me.
46 I light came into the world, that each that believeth in me, dwell not in darknesses.
47 And if any man heareth my words, and keepeth them not, I deem him not [And if any man shall hear my words, and shall not keep, I deem not him]; for I came not, that I deem the world, but that I make the world safe.
48 He that despiseth me, and taketh not my words, hath him that shall judge him; that word that I have spoken, [that] shall deem him in the last day [the word that I have spoken, that shall deem him in the last day].
49 For I have not spoken of myself, but that Father that sent me, [he] gave to me a commandment, what I shall say, and what I shall speak.
50 And I know, that his commandment is everlasting life; therefore those things that I speak, as the Father said to me, so I speak.

Maryan Baa Ciise Beytaniya Ku Subagtay(A)
12 Haddaba lix maalmood ka hor Iidda Kormaridda, Ciise wuxuu yimid Beytaniya, meeshuu joogay Laasaros, kii Ciise kuwa dhintay ka soo sara kiciyey. 2 Sidaas daraaddeed halkaasaa casho loogu sameeyey, Maartana waa adeegaysay, oo Laasaros wuxuu ka mid ahaa kuwa cuntada ula fadhiistay. 3 Maryan haddaba waxay qaadday rodol cadar ah oo naaradiin qaaliya ah, waxayna marisay cagaha Ciise, oo timaheedii ayay cagihiisa ku tirtirtay. Gurigiina waxaa ka buuxsamay udgoonkii cadarka. 4 Laakiin Yuudas Iskariyod, oo ahaa mid xertiisii ka mid ah, oo gacangelin lahaa, wuxuu yidhi, 5 Maxaa cadarkan loogu iibin waayay saddex boqol oo dinaar, oo loo siin waayay masaakiinta? 6 Sidaas uma uu odhan dan uu ka lahaa masaakiinta, laakiin wuxuu u yidhi wuxuu ahaa tuug, oo kiishadda lacagta ayuu hayn jiray, wuuna kala bixi jiray wixii lagu rido. 7 Haddaba Ciise ayaa yidhi, Daaya. Waxay u haysay maalinta aasniintayda. 8 Waayo, masaakiintu mar walba way idinla jiraan, aniguse idinlama joogo mar walba.
9 Haddaba dad badan oo Yuhuud ah baa waxay ogaadeen inuu halkaas joogo, wayna u yimaadeen, ma aha Ciise aawadii oo keliya laakiin inay arkaan Laasarosna, kii uu kuwii dhintay ka soo sara kiciyey. 10 Wadaaddadii sare waxay ku tashadeen inay Laasarosna dilaan. 11 Waayo, aawadiis ayaa Yuhuud badani ku tagtay oo Ciise rumaysatay.
Ciise Guul Buu Ku Galay Yeruusaalem(B)
12 Maalintii xigtay dad badan oo u yimid iiddii, markay maqleen inuu Ciise Yeruusaalem imanayo, 13 waxay qaateen laamihii geedaha timirta ah, oo ay baxeen inay ka hor tagaan, iyagoo ku dhawaaqaya [a]Hoosanna, waxaa barakaysan kan Rabbiga magiciisa ku imanaya oo boqorka Israa'iil ah. 14 Ciise wuxuu helay dameer yar oo fuulay, siday ugu qoran tahay, 15 Ha biqin, gabadhii Siyoonay; bal eeg, Boqorkaagu waa imanayaa isagoo fuushan qayl dameereed. 16 Markii hore xertiisii waxyaalahaas ma ay garan, laakiin markii Ciise ammaanmay dabadeed ayay xusuusteen in waxyaalahaas xaggiisa laga qoray iyo in waxyaalahaas lagu sameeyey isaga. 17 Haddaba waxaa marag furay dadkii badnaa ee la joogay markuu Laasaros xabaasha uga yeedhay oo uu kuwa dhintay ka soo sara kiciyey. 18 Sidaa daraaddeed dadkii badnaa waa u kaceen inay ka hor tagaan, waayo, waxay maqleen inuu calaamadaas sameeyey. 19 Haddaba Farrisiintii waxay dhexdoodii isku yidhaahdeen, Waad arkaysaan sidaydnaan waxba u taraynin. Eega, dunidii oo dhan baa raacdaye.
Dadka Gariigta Ah Weyddiiskoodii
20 Kuwa wakhtiga iidda u kacay inay Ilaah caabudaan, waxaa ku dhex jiray qaar Gariig ah. 21 Kuwaas haddaba waxay u yimaadeen Filibos oo ahaa reer Beytsayda ee Galili, wayna weyddiisteen oo waxay ku yidhaahdeen, Sayidow, waxaannu doonaynaa inaannu Ciise aragno. 22 Markaasaa Filibos u yimid oo Andaros u sheegay, oo haddana Andaros iyo Filibos baa wada yimid, oo ay Ciise u sheegeen. 23 Kolkaasaa Ciise u jawaabay, oo wuxuu ku yidhi, Saacaddii way timid uu Wiilka Aadanahu ammaanmi lahaa. 24 Runtii, runtii, waxaan idinku leeyahay, Xabbad sarreen ah haddaanay dhulka ku dhicin oo dhiman, keligeed bay iska jiraysaa, laakiin hadday dhimato, midho badan bay dhashaa. 25 Kan naftiisa jecel, waa lumiyaa, kan dunidan naftiisa ku nebcaadaase, wuu hayn doonaa tan iyo nolosha weligeed ah. 26 Qof uun hadduu ii adeego, ha i soo raaco, meeshaan joogona, midiidinkayguna wuu joogi doonaa. Qof uun hadduu ii adeego, Aabbuhu waa murwayn doonaa isaga. 27 Haatan naftaydu waa murugootay, oo maxaan idhaahdaa? Aabbow, saacaddan iga badbaadi. Laakiin taas aawadeed ayaan saacaddan u soo gaadhay. 28 Aabbow, magacaaga ammaan. Haddaba waxaa samada ka yimid cod leh, Waan ammaanay, waanan ammaani doonaa mar kale.
29 Haddaba dadkii badnaa oo ag taagnaa, way maqleen, oo waxay yidhaahdeen, Waa onkod. Qaar kale waxay yidhaahdeen, Malaa'ig baa la hadashay isaga. 30 Ciise ayaa u jawaabay oo ku yidhi, Codkaasu aawaday uma imanin, laakiin wuxuu u yimid aawadiin. 31 Imminka weeye markii dunidan la xukumi lahaa, imminka kan madaxda dunida ah dibaddaa lagu tuuri doonaa. 32 Aniguna haddii kor layga qaado dhulka, dhammaan xaggaygaan u soo jiidi doonaa. 33 Wuxuu waxaas u yidhi inuu tuso siduu u dhiman doono. 34 Haddaba dadkii badnaa waxay ugu jawaabeen, Waxaannu sharciga ka maqallay in Masiixu weligiis jiri doono. Sidee baad u leedahay, Wiilka Aadanaha waa in kor loo qaado? Waa ayo Wiilka Aadanahu? 35 Ciise haddaba ayaa ku yidhi, Weli in yar nuurka ayaa idinla jiraya. Socda intaad nuurka haysataan, si aan gudcurku idiin soo gaadhin. Kan gudcurka ku socdaana ma yaqaan meeshuu u socdo. 36 Intaad nuurka haysataan, rumaysta nuurka, inaad noqotaan wiilasha nuurka.
Qaar Badan Baa Rumaysan Waayay, Laakiin Qaar Baa Si Qarsoon U Rumaystay
Waxyaalahaas Ciise ayaa ku hadlay, markaasuu ka tegey oo ka dhuuntay iyaga. 37 Laakiin in kastuu calaamooyin badan ku sameeyey hortooda, weli ma ay rumaysan isaga; 38 inuu noqdo hadalka nebi Isayos oo uu ku hadlay,
Rabbiyow, yaa warkayagii rumaystay,
Oo yaa gacantii Rabbiga loo muujiyey?
39 Sidaa aawadeed ayay rumaysan kari waayeen, waayo, Isayos ayaa haddana yidhi,
40 Wuu indhatiray, qalbigoodana ayuu engejiyey,
Si aanay indhahooda wax ugu arkin, oo aanay qalbigoodana wax ugu garan,
Oo aanay u soo noqon,
Oo aanan u bogsiin.
41 Waxyaalahaas Isayos ayaa yidhi, maxaa yeelay, ammaantiisuu arkay, wuuna ka hadlay isaga. 42 Hase ahaatee qaar badan oo taliyayaasha ka mid ahaa way rumaysteen, laakiin Farrisiintii aawadood ma ay qiran si aan sunagogga looga saarin, 43 waayo, waxay ammaanta Ilaah ka jeclaayeen ammaanta dadka.
Ciise Waxbariddiisii La Soo Koobay
44 Ciise ayaa ku dhawaaqay oo yidhi, Kii i rumaystaa, ima rumaysto, wuxuuse rumaystaa kan i soo diray. 45 Kii i arkaana, wuxuu arkaa kan i soo diray. 46 Waxaan dunida u imid inaan nuur u ahaado, in mid kasta oo i rumaystaa uusan gudcurka ku sii jirin. 47 Nin uun hadduu erayadayda maqlo oo uusan xajin, xukumi maayo, waayo, uma iman inaan dunida xukumo, waxaanse u imid inaan dunida badbaadiyo. 48 Kii i diida oo aan erayadayda aqbalin, wuxuu haystaa mid xukuma; ereygaan ku hadlay baa xukumi doona isaga maalinta u dambaysa. 49 Waayo, anigu amarkayga kuma hadlin, laakiinse Aabbihii i soo diray isagaa i amray waxaan idhaahdo iyo waxaan ku hadloba. 50 Oo waanan garanayaa inuu amarkiisu yahay nolosha weligeed ah. Sidaa daraaddeed waxaan ku hadlayaa, sidii Aabbuhu igu yidhi, sidaasaan ku hadlayaa.

New International Version
Jesus Anointed at Bethany(A)
12 Six days before the Passover,(B) Jesus came to Bethany,(C) where Lazarus lived, whom Jesus had raised from the dead. 2 Here a dinner was given in Jesus’ honor. Martha served,(D) while Lazarus was among those reclining at the table with him. 3 Then Mary took about a pint[a] of pure nard, an expensive perfume;(E) she poured it on Jesus’ feet and wiped his feet with her hair.(F) And the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.
4 But one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, who was later to betray him,(G) objected, 5 “Why wasn’t this perfume sold and the money given to the poor? It was worth a year’s wages.[b]” 6 He did not say this because he cared about the poor but because he was a thief; as keeper of the money bag,(H) he used to help himself to what was put into it.
7 “Leave her alone,” Jesus replied. “It was intended that she should save this perfume for the day of my burial.(I) 8 You will always have the poor among you,[c](J) but you will not always have me.”
9 Meanwhile a large crowd of Jews found out that Jesus was there and came, not only because of him but also to see Lazarus, whom he had raised from the dead.(K) 10 So the chief priests made plans to kill Lazarus as well, 11 for on account of him(L) many of the Jews were going over to Jesus and believing in him.(M)
Jesus Comes to Jerusalem as King(N)
12 The next day the great crowd that had come for the festival heard that Jesus was on his way to Jerusalem. 13 They took palm branches(O) and went out to meet him, shouting,
“Hosanna![d]”
“Blessed is the king of Israel!”(Q)
14 Jesus found a young donkey and sat on it, as it is written:
16 At first his disciples did not understand all this.(S) Only after Jesus was glorified(T) did they realize that these things had been written about him and that these things had been done to him.
17 Now the crowd that was with him(U) when he called Lazarus from the tomb and raised him from the dead continued to spread the word. 18 Many people, because they had heard that he had performed this sign,(V) went out to meet him. 19 So the Pharisees said to one another, “See, this is getting us nowhere. Look how the whole world has gone after him!”(W)
Jesus Predicts His Death
20 Now there were some Greeks(X) among those who went up to worship at the festival. 21 They came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida(Y) in Galilee, with a request. “Sir,” they said, “we would like to see Jesus.” 22 Philip went to tell Andrew; Andrew and Philip in turn told Jesus.
23 Jesus replied, “The hour(Z) has come for the Son of Man to be glorified.(AA) 24 Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies,(AB) it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. 25 Anyone who loves their life will lose it, while anyone who hates their life in this world will keep it(AC) for eternal life.(AD) 26 Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be.(AE) My Father will honor the one who serves me.
27 “Now my soul is troubled,(AF) and what shall I say? ‘Father,(AG) save me from this hour’?(AH) No, it was for this very reason I came to this hour. 28 Father, glorify your name!”
Then a voice came from heaven,(AI) “I have glorified it, and will glorify it again.” 29 The crowd that was there and heard it said it had thundered; others said an angel had spoken to him.
30 Jesus said, “This voice was for your benefit,(AJ) not mine. 31 Now is the time for judgment on this world;(AK) now the prince of this world(AL) will be driven out. 32 And I, when I am lifted up[g] from the earth,(AM) will draw all people to myself.”(AN) 33 He said this to show the kind of death he was going to die.(AO)
34 The crowd spoke up, “We have heard from the Law(AP) that the Messiah will remain forever,(AQ) so how can you say, ‘The Son of Man(AR) must be lifted up’?(AS) Who is this ‘Son of Man’?”
35 Then Jesus told them, “You are going to have the light(AT) just a little while longer. Walk while you have the light,(AU) before darkness overtakes you.(AV) Whoever walks in the dark does not know where they are going. 36 Believe in the light while you have the light, so that you may become children of light.”(AW) When he had finished speaking, Jesus left and hid himself from them.(AX)
Belief and Unbelief Among the Jews
37 Even after Jesus had performed so many signs(AY) in their presence, they still would not believe in him. 38 This was to fulfill the word of Isaiah the prophet:
39 For this reason they could not believe, because, as Isaiah says elsewhere:
40 “He has blinded their eyes
and hardened their hearts,
so they can neither see with their eyes,
nor understand with their hearts,
nor turn—and I would heal them.”[i](BA)
41 Isaiah said this because he saw Jesus’ glory(BB) and spoke about him.(BC)
42 Yet at the same time many even among the leaders believed in him.(BD) But because of the Pharisees(BE) they would not openly acknowledge their faith for fear they would be put out of the synagogue;(BF) 43 for they loved human praise(BG) more than praise from God.(BH)
44 Then Jesus cried out, “Whoever believes in me does not believe in me only, but in the one who sent me.(BI) 45 The one who looks at me is seeing the one who sent me.(BJ) 46 I have come into the world as a light,(BK) so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness.
47 “If anyone hears my words but does not keep them, I do not judge that person. For I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world.(BL) 48 There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; the very words I have spoken will condemn them(BM) at the last day. 49 For I did not speak on my own, but the Father who sent me commanded me(BN) to say all that I have spoken. 50 I know that his command leads to eternal life.(BO) So whatever I say is just what the Father has told me to say.”(BP)

dahil baka manumbalik pa sila sa kanya, at pagalingin niya sila.”[i]
