³⁰ I will no longer talk much with you, for ^(A)the ruler of this world is coming. ^(B)He has no claim on me, ³¹ but I do ^(C)as the Father has commanded me, ^(D)so that the world may know that I love the Father. Rise, let us go from here.

^2 (A)in which you once walked, following the course^[a] of this world, following ^(B)the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in ^(C)the sons of disobedience—

⁴ In their case ^(A)the god of this world ^(B)has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing ^(C)the light of ^(D)the gospel of the glory of Christ, ^(E)who is the image of God.
