²⁸ Father, glorify your name!”

Then a voice came from heaven,^(A) “I have glorified it, and will glorify it again.”

Jesus Predicts Peter’s Denial^(A)

³¹ When he was gone, Jesus said, “Now the Son of Man^(B) is glorified^(C) and God is glorified in him.^{(D) 32} If God is glorified in him,^[a] God will glorify the Son in himself,^(E) and will glorify him at once.

⁴² He went away a second time and prayed, “My Father, if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may your will be done.”^(A)

⁹ And they sang a new song, saying:^(A)

¹¹ Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand.^(H) They encircled the throne and the living creatures^(I) and the elders.^{(J) 12} In a loud voice they were saying:

¹³ Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth^(N) and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying:

¹⁴ The four living creatures^(R) said, “Amen,”^(S) and the elders^(T) fell down and worshiped.^(U)

⁶ being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion^(A) until the day of Christ Jesus.^(B)

⁷ It is right^(C) for me to feel this way about all of you, since I have you in my heart^(D) and, whether I am in chains^(E) or defending^(F) and confirming the gospel, all of you share in God’s grace with me. ⁸ God can testify^(G) how I long for all of you with the affection of Christ Jesus.

⁹ And this is my prayer: that your love^(H) may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight,^{(I) 10} so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ,^{(J) 11} filled with the fruit of righteousness^(K) that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.

⁴⁰ Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe,^(A) you will see the glory of God?”^(B)

⁴¹ So they took away the stone. Then Jesus looked up^(C) and said, “Father,^(D) I thank you that you have heard me. ⁴² I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here,^(E) that they may believe that you sent me.”^(F)

⁴³ When he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!”^{(G) 44} The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen,^(H) and a cloth around his face.^(I)

Jesus said to them, “Take off the grave clothes and let him go.”

⁵ While he was still speaking, a bright cloud covered them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.^(A) Listen to him!”^(B)

¹⁷ And a voice from heaven^(A) said, “This is my Son,^(B) whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”^(C)
