²⁸ Father, glorify your name.” Then ^(A)a voice came from heaven: “I have glorified it, and I will glorify it again.”

A New Commandment

³¹ When he had gone out, Jesus said, ^(A)“Now is the Son of Man glorified, and ^(B)God is glorified in him. ³² If God is glorified in him, ^(C)God will also glorify him in himself, and ^(D)glorify him at once.

⁴² Again, for the second time, he went away and prayed, “My Father, if this cannot pass unless I drink it, ^(A)your will be done.”

⁹ And they sang ^(A)a new song, saying,

¹¹ Then I looked, and I heard around the throne and the living creatures and the elders the voice of many angels, numbering ^(F)myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands, ¹² saying with a loud voice,

¹³ And I heard ^(H)every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying,

¹⁴ And the four living creatures ^(I)said, “Amen!” and the elders ^(J)fell down and worshiped.

⁶ And I am sure of this, that he who began ^(A)a good work in you ^(B)will bring it to completion at ^(C)the day of Jesus Christ. ⁷ It is right for me to feel this way about you all, because I hold you ^(D)in my heart, for you are all ^(E)partakers with me of grace,^[a] both ^(F)in my imprisonment and in ^(G)the defense and confirmation of the gospel. ⁸ For ^(H)God is my witness, ^(I)how I yearn for you all with the affection of Christ Jesus. ⁹ And it is my prayer that ^(J)your love may abound more and more, ^(K)with knowledge and all discernment, ¹⁰ so that you may approve what is excellent, ^(L)and so be pure and blameless ^(M)for the day of Christ, ¹¹ filled ^(N)with the fruit of righteousness that comes ^(O)through Jesus Christ, ^(P)to the glory and praise of God.

⁴⁰ Jesus said to her, ^(A)“Did I not tell you that if you believed you would see ^(B)the glory of God?” ⁴¹ So they took away the stone. And Jesus ^(C)lifted up his eyes and said, “Father, I thank you that you have heard me. ^42 (D)I knew that you always hear me, but I said this ^(E)on account of the people standing around, ^(F)that they may believe that you sent me.” ⁴³ When he had said these things, he cried out with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out.” ^44 (G)The man who had died came out, ^(H)his hands and feet bound with linen strips, and ^(I)his face wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Unbind him, and let him go.”

⁵ He was still speaking when, behold, ^(A)a bright cloud overshadowed them, and ^(B)a voice from the cloud said, ^(C)“This is my beloved Son,^[a] with whom I am well pleased; ^(D)listen to him.”

¹⁷ and behold, ^(A)a voice from heaven said, ^(B)“This is my beloved Son,^[a] with whom I am well pleased.”
