John 12:25-33

²⁵^(A)Whoever loves his life loses it, and ^(B)whoever ^(C)hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. ²⁶If anyone serves me, he must ^(D)follow me; and ^(E)where I am, there will my servant be also. ^(F)If anyone serves me, ^(G)the Father will honor him.

The Son of Man Must Be Lifted Up

²⁷^(H)“Now is my soul troubled. And what shall I say? ‘Father, ^(I)save me from ^(J)this hour’? But ^(K)for this purpose I have come to ^(L)this hour. ²⁸Father, glorify your name.” Then ^(M)a voice came from heaven: “I have glorified it, and I will glorify it again.” ²⁹The crowd that stood there and heard it said that it had thundered. Others said, ^(N)“An angel has spoken to him.” ³⁰Jesus answered, ^(O)“This voice has come for your sake, not mine. ³¹^(P)Now is the judgment of this world; now will ^(Q)the ruler of this world ^(R)be cast out. ³²And I, ^(S)when I am lifted up from the earth, ^(T)will draw ^(U)all people to myself.” ³³He said this ^(V)to show by what kind of death he was going to die.

³⁵So Jesus said to them, ^(A)“The light is among you ^(B)for a little while longer. ^(C)Walk while you have the light, lest darkness ^(D)overtake you. ^(E)The one who walks in the darkness does not know where he is going. ³⁶While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become ^(F)sons of light.”
