^25 (A)He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.

^39 (A)He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.

^33 (A)Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it.

³⁵ For ^(A)whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it.

Take Up the Cross and Follow Him^(A)

^23 (B)Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross ^[a]daily, and follow Me. ^24 (C)For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it.

²⁵ For ^(A)whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.

^26 (A)“If anyone comes to Me ^(B)and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, ^(C)yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple.

¹¹ And ^(A)they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, ^(B)and they did not love their lives to the death.

^24 [a]But ^(A)none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, ^(B)so that I may finish my ^[b]race with joy, ^(C)and the ministry ^(D)which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.

^29 (A)And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother ^[a]or wife or children or ^[b]lands, for My name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life.
