Some Greeks Seek Jesus

²⁰ Now ^(A)among those who went up to worship at the feast were some ^(B)Greeks.

³⁵ The Jews said to one another, “Where does this man intend to go that we will not find him? ^(A)Does he intend to go to ^(B)the Dispersion among ^(C)the Greeks and teach the Greeks?

⁴ And ^(A)some of them were persuaded and joined Paul and Silas, as did ^(B)a great many of the devout ^(C)Greeks and not a few of the leading women.

¹⁰ In that day ^(A)the root of ^(B)Jesse, who shall stand as ^(C)a signal for the peoples—of him shall the nations inquire, and his resting place shall be glorious.

²⁷ And he rose and went. And there was an ^(A)Ethiopian, a ^(B)eunuch, a court official of Candace, queen of the Ethiopians, ^(C)who was in charge of all her treasure. ^(D)He had come to Jerusalem to worship

^26 (A)Now the woman was a ^(B)Gentile, ^(C)a Syrophoenician by birth. And she begged him to cast the demon out of her daughter.

⁴¹ “Likewise, when a foreigner, who is not of your people Israel, comes from a far country for your name's sake ⁴² (for they shall hear of your great name ^(A)and your mighty hand, and of your outstretched arm), when he comes and prays toward this house, ⁴³ hear in heaven your dwelling place and do according to all for which the foreigner calls to you, in order ^(B)that all the peoples of the earth may know your name and ^(C)fear you, as do your people Israel, and that they may know that this house that I have built is called by your name.

³ But even Titus, who was with me, ^(A)was not forced to be circumcised, though he was a Greek.

²⁸ crying out, “Men of Israel, help! This is the man who ^(A)is teaching everyone everywhere against the people and ^(B)the law and ^(C)this place. Moreover, he even brought Greeks into the temple and ^(D)has defiled ^(E)this holy place.”
