¹³ took branches of palm trees and went out to meet Him, and cried out:

³ They sing ^(A)the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the ^(B)Lamb, saying:

³⁵ Then they brought him to Jesus. ^(A)And they threw their own clothes on the colt, and they set Jesus on him. ³⁶ And as He went, many spread their clothes on the road.

³⁷ Then, as He was now drawing near the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to ^(B)rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works they had seen, ³⁸ saying:

⁹ Then the multitudes who went before and those who followed cried out, saying:

^10 (B)And when He had come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, “Who is this?”

¹¹ So the multitudes said, “This is Jesus, ^(C)the prophet from Nazareth of Galilee.”

A Multitude from the Great Tribulation

⁹ After these things I looked, and behold, ^(A)a great multitude which no one could number, ^(B)of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, ^(C)clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands,

^8 (A)And many spread their clothes on the road, and others cut down leafy branches from the trees and spread them on the road. ⁹ Then those who went before and those who followed cried out, saying:

⁴⁹ Nathanael answered and said to Him, “Rabbi, ^(A)You are the Son of God! You are ^(B)the King of Israel!”

³⁹ for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, ^(A)‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’ ”
