⁴⁶ But some of them went to the Pharisees and told them what Jesus had done.

The Pharisees Investigate the Healing

¹³ They brought to the Pharisees the man who had formerly been blind.

²⁵ Then someone arrived and announced, “Look, the men whom you put in prison are standing in the temple and teaching the people!”

³⁷ Although he had performed so many signs in their presence, they did not believe in him.

¹⁵ The man went away and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had made him well. ¹⁶ Therefore the Jews started persecuting Jesus, because he was doing such things on the Sabbath.

³⁰ He said, ‘No, father Abraham, but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.’^{(A) 31} He said to him, ‘If they do not listen to Moses and the prophets, neither will they be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.’ ”
