41 Tolsero dunque la pietra. Gesù allora alzò gli occhi e disse: «Padre, ti ringrazio che mi hai ascoltato. 42 Io sapevo che sempre mi dai ascolto, ma l'ho detto per la gente che mi sta attorno, perché credano che tu mi hai mandato». 43 E, detto questo, gridò a gran voce: «Lazzaro, vieni fuori!».

41 So they took away the stone. Then Jesus looked up(A) and said, “Father,(B) I thank you that you have heard me. 42 I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here,(C) that they may believe that you sent me.”(D)
43 When he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!”(E)
