²⁵ Jesus said to her, “I am ^(A)the resurrection and the life. ^(B)He who believes in Me, though he may ^(C)die, he shall live.

² Beloved, ^(A)now we are children of God; and ^(B)it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, ^(C)we shall be like Him, for ^(D)we shall see Him as He is. ^3 (E)And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.

A Heavenly Inheritance

^3 (A)Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who ^(B)according to His abundant mercy ^(C)has begotten us again to a living hope ^(D)through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, ⁴ to an inheritance ^[a]incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, ^(E)reserved in heaven for you, ^5 (F)who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

¹¹ who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, ^(A)will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.”

^19 (A)Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, ²⁰ and that He may send ^[a]Jesus Christ, who was ^[b]preached to you before, ^21 (B)whom heaven must receive until the times of ^(C)restoration of all things, ^(D)which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since ^[c]the world began.

³¹ because He has appointed a day on which ^(A)He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by ^(B)raising Him from the dead.”

⁷ so that you come short in no gift, eagerly ^(A)waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ,

^5 (A)Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to ^(B)light the hidden things of darkness and ^(C)reveal the ^[a]counsels of the hearts. ^(D)Then each one’s praise will come from God.

²³ But ^(A)each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ’s at His coming. ²⁴ Then comes the end, when He delivers ^(B)the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power.
