²² But even now I know that God will give you whatever you ask of him.”^(A)

³¹ We know that God does not listen to sinners, but he does listen to one who worships him and obeys his will.^(A)

⁴¹ So they took away the stone. And Jesus looked upward and said, “Father, I thank you for having heard me.^{(A) 42} I knew that you always hear me, but I have said this for the sake of the crowd standing here, so that they may believe that you sent me.”^(B)

²³ Jesus said to him, “If you are able! All things can be done for the one who believes.”

¹⁸ And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.^(A)

¹⁷ By faith Abraham, when put to the test, offered up Isaac. He who had received the promises was ready to offer up his only son,^{(A) 18} of whom he had been told, “It is through Isaac that descendants shall be named for you.”^{(B) 19} He considered the fact that God is able even to raise someone from the dead—and, figuratively speaking, he did receive him back.^(C)

² since you have given him authority over all people,^[a] to give eternal life to all whom you have given him.^(A)

²² The Father judges no one but has given all judgment to the Son,^{(A) 23} so that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. Anyone who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him.^{(B) 24} Very truly, I tell you, anyone who hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and does not come under judgment but has passed from death to life.^(C)

²⁵ “Very truly, I tell you, the hour is coming and is now here when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live.^{(D) 26} For just as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son also to have life in himself, ²⁷ and he has given him authority to execute judgment because he is the Son of Man.^(E)

³⁵ The Father loves the Son and has placed all things in his hands.^(A)
