¹⁵ For your sake I am glad I was not there, so that you may believe. But let us go to him.”

¹⁰ Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect, so that they may also obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus, with eternal glory.^(A)

¹⁰ Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own, but the Father who dwells in me does his works.^{(A) 11} Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me, but if you do not, then believe^[a] because of the works themselves.^(B)

¹⁹ And for their sakes I sanctify myself, so that they also may be sanctified in truth.

³⁰ Jesus answered, “This voice has come for your sake, not for mine.

³⁵ Jesus began to weep.^{(A) 36} So the Jews said, “See how he loved him!”

⁴ But when Jesus heard it, he said, “This illness does not lead to death; rather, it is for God’s glory, so that the Son of God may be glorified through it.”^(A)

¹¹ Jesus did this, the first of his signs, in Cana of Galilee and revealed his glory, and his disciples believed in him.^(A)
