³⁵ If he called them gods to whom the word of God came—and Scripture cannot be ^(A)broken—

^35 (A)Heaven and earth will pass away, but ^(B)my words will not pass away.

Submission to the Authorities

13 Let every person ^(A)be subject to the governing authorities. For ^(B)there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.

⁴⁴ Then he said to them, ^(A)“These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, ^(B)that everything written about me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.” ⁴⁵ Then ^(C)he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures, ⁴⁶ and said to them, “Thus ^(D)it is written, ^(E)that the Christ should suffer and on the third day ^(F)rise from the dead,

¹⁷ But ^(A)it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one dot of the Law to become void.

¹⁶ “Brothers, ^(A)the Scripture had to be fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit spoke beforehand by the mouth of David concerning Judas, ^(B)who became a guide to those who arrested Jesus.

God's Covenant with Abram

15 After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision: ^(A)“Fear not, Abram, I am ^(B)your shield; your reward shall be very great.”

^36 (A)For these things took place that the Scripture might be fulfilled: ^(B)“Not one of his bones ^(C)will be broken.” ³⁷ And again another Scripture says, ^(D)“They will look on him whom they have pierced.”

^26 (A)Was it not necessary that ^(B)the Christ should suffer these things and enter into ^(C)his glory?” ²⁷ And ^(D)beginning with ^(E)Moses and ^(F)all the Prophets, he interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.
