John 1:8-14

^8 (A)He was not the light, but came to bear witness about the light.

^9 (B)The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world. ¹⁰ He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet ^(C)the world did not know him. ¹¹ He came to ^(D)his own,^[a] and ^(E)his own people^{[b] (F)}did not receive him. ¹² But to all who did receive him, ^(G)who believed in his name, ^(H)he gave the right ^(I)to become ^(J)children of God, ¹³ who ^(K)were born, ^(L)not of blood ^(M)nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.

¹⁴ And ^(N)the Word ^(O)became flesh and ^(P)dwelt among us, ^(Q)and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son^[c] from the Father, full of ^(R)grace and ^(S)truth.
