⁵¹ Then He said, “I assure you: You^[a] will see heaven opened and the angels of God^(A) ascending and descending^(B) on the Son of Man.”^(C)

¹⁴ Are they not all ministering spirits sent out to serve those who are going to inherit salvation?^(A)

⁶ Together with Christ Jesus He also raised us up and seated us in the heavens,^(A)

⁷ so that in the coming ages^(A) He might display the immeasurable riches^(B) of His grace through His kindness^(C) to us in Christ Jesus.

The Time Is Near

⁶ Then he said to me, “These words are faithful and true.^(A) And the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets,^[a] has sent His angel to show His slaves what must quickly take place.”^[b](B)

⁷ “Look, I am coming quickly!^(C) The one who keeps the prophetic words of this book is blessed.”^(D)

⁸ I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. When I heard and saw them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who had shown them to me. ⁹ But he said to me, “Don’t do that! I am a fellow slave with you, your brothers the prophets, and those who keep the words of this book. Worship God.”^(E)

²⁰ The secret of the seven stars you saw in My right hand and of the seven gold lampstands is this: The seven stars are the angels^[a] of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands^[b] are the seven churches.

² For if the message spoken through angels was legally binding^[a](A) and every transgression and disobedience received a just punishment,^(B)

⁶ And we are ready to punish any disobedience, once your obedience has been confirmed.

Jesus and Humanity

⁵ For He has not subjected to angels the world to come that we are talking about.

¹⁶ For it is clear that He does not reach out to help angels, but to help Abraham’s offspring.
