³⁹ “Come,” he replied, “and you will see.”

So they went and saw where he was staying, and they spent that day with him. It was about four in the afternoon.

²⁹ But they urged him strongly, “Stay with us, for it is nearly evening; the day is almost over.” So he went in to stay with them.

²⁸ “Come to me,^(A) all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.^{(B) 29} Take my yoke upon you and learn from me,^(C) for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.^{(D) 30} For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”^(E)

³⁷ All those the Father gives me^(A) will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away.

⁴⁰ So when the Samaritans came to him, they urged him to stay with them, and he stayed two days.

⁴⁶ “Nazareth! Can anything good come from there?”^(A) Nathanael asked.

“Come and see,” said Philip.

²² Then Judas^(A) (not Judas Iscariot) said, “But, Lord, why do you intend to show yourself to us and not to the world?”^(B)

²³ Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching.^(C) My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.^(D)

³⁰ For two whole years Paul stayed there in his own rented house and welcomed all who came to see him. ³¹ He proclaimed the kingdom of God^(A) and taught about the Lord Jesus Christ—with all boldness^(B) and without hindrance!
