Behold, the Lamb of God

²⁹ The next day, John sees Yeshua coming to him and says, “Behold, the Lamb^[a] of God who takes away the sin of the world! ³⁰ This is the One about whom I told you, ‘He who comes after me is above me, because He was before me.’ ³¹ I didn’t know Him, but I came immersing with water so that He might be revealed to Israel.”

¹⁴ “I am the Good Shepherd. I know My own and My own know Me, ¹⁵ just as the Father knows Me and I know the Father. And I lay down My life for the sheep. ¹⁶ I have other sheep that are not from this fold; those also I must lead, and they will listen to My voice. So there shall be one flock, one Shepherd.

¹⁷ “For this reason the Father loves Me, because I lay down My life, so that I may take it up again. ¹⁸ No one takes it away from Me, but I lay it down on My own. I have the authority to lay it down, and I have the authority to take it up again. This command I received from My Father.”
