¹⁴ And ^(A)the Word ^(B)became flesh and ^(C)dwelt among us, ^(D)and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son^[a] from the Father, full of ^(E)grace and ^(F)truth.

For God So Loved the World

¹⁶ “For ^(A)God so loved ^(B)the world,^{[a] (C)}that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not ^(D)perish but have eternal life.

¹⁰ For if ^(A)while we were enemies ^(B)we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by ^(C)his life.

² And ^(A)walk in love, ^(B)as Christ loved us and ^(C)gave himself up for us, a ^(D)fragrant ^(E)offering and sacrifice to God.

⁵ But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. ⁶ He is not here, for he has risen, ^(A)as he said. Come, see the place where he^[a] lay. ⁷ Then go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead, and behold, ^(B)he is going before you to Galilee; there you will see him. See, I have told you.” ⁸ So they departed quickly from the tomb ^(C)with fear and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples. ⁹ And behold, Jesus ^(D)met them and said, “Greetings!” And they came up and ^(E)took hold of his feet and ^(F)worshiped him.

Jesus, High Priest of a Better Covenant

8 Now the point in what we are saying is this: we have such a high priest, ^(A)one who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven,

⁵ For ^(A)there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man^[a] Christ Jesus,

Christ Our Advocate

2 My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, ^(A)we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.
