¹⁰ He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and ^(A)the world did not know Him.

²⁵ O righteous Father! ^(A)The world has not known You, but ^(B)I have known You; and ^(C)these have known that You sent Me.

The Command to Love

3 Behold ^(A)what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that ^(B)we should be called children of ^[a]God! Therefore the world does not know ^[b]us, ^(C)because it did not know Him.

³ By faith we understand that ^(A)the ^[a]worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.

²¹ For since, in the ^(A)wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.

^27 (A)All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father. ^(B)Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.

⁸ which none of the rulers of this age knew; for ^(A)had they known, they would not have ^(B)crucified the Lord of glory.

^24 (A)God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is ^(B)Lord of heaven and earth, ^(C)does not dwell in temples made with hands. ²⁵ Nor is He worshiped with men’s hands, as though He needed anything, since He ^(D)gives to all life, breath, and all things. ²⁶ And He has made from one ^[a]blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and ^(E)the boundaries of their dwellings, ^27 (F)so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, ^(G)though He is not far from each one of us;

^18 (A)No one has seen God at any time. ^(B)The only begotten ^[a]Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.
