John 1:9-13
English Standard Version
9 (A)The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet (B)the world did not know him. 11 He came to (C)his own,[a] and (D)his own people[b] (E)did not receive him. 12 But to all who did receive him, (F)who believed in his name, (G)he gave the right (H)to become (I)children of God, 13 who (J)were born, (K)not of blood (L)nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.

English Standard Version
10 So (A)Joshua did as Moses told him, and fought with Amalek, while Moses, Aaron, and (B)Hur went up to the top of the hill. 11 Whenever Moses (C)held up his hand, Israel prevailed, and whenever he lowered his hand, Amalek prevailed. 12 But Moses' hands grew weary, so they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it, while Aaron and (D)Hur held up his hands, one on one side, and the other on the other side. So his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. 13 And (E)Joshua overwhelmed Amalek and his people with the sword.
14 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Write this as a memorial in a book and recite it in the ears of (F)Joshua, that (G)I will utterly blot out the memory of Amalek from under heaven.” 15 And Moses (H)built an altar and called the name of it, The Lord Is My Banner, 16 saying, “A hand upon the throne[a] of the Lord! (I)The Lord will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.”
