John 8:5-7
New King James Version
5 (A)Now [a]Moses, in the law, commanded us [b]that such should be stoned. But what do You [c]say?” 6 This they said, testing Him, that they (B)might have something of which to accuse Him. But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger, [d]as though He did not hear.
7 So when they continued asking Him, He [e]raised Himself up and said to them, (C)“He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.”

5 In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women.(A) Now what do you say?” 6 They were using this question as a trap,(B) in order to have a basis for accusing him.(C)
But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger. 7 When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone(D) at her.”(E)
